FORUM RULES

Registration to this forum is free! We do insist that you abide by the rules and policies detailed below.

Although the administrators,moderators and team members of Legal Beagles will attempt to keep all objectionable messages off this forum, it is impossible for us to review all messages.

All messages express the views of the author, and neither the owners of Legal Beagles, Consumer Legal Ltd, nor Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd. (developers of vBulletin) will be held responsible for the content of any message.

By agreeing to these rules, you warrant that you will not post any messages that are obscene, vulgar, sexually-oriented, hateful, threatening, or otherwise violative of any laws.

The owners of Legal Beagles reserve the right to remove, edit, move or close any thread for any reason.

There are specific areas for off topic discussion - The Lamp Post - and the VIP Members Area.

No links to commercial sites will be accepted in posts or signatures and will be removed.

While the above applies to all forums, the Stag's Pants forum in the VIP Members area is considered a Private Members Club; an Adults Only Bar and as such has slightly more lenient rules as the posts/threads are not for general consumption. Therefore, existing members should take this into consideration when signing up to Stag's Pants and should not enter if they are easily offended .

Posts can be edited my the original poster within 3 days of posting. Following this time users will need to contact a Team Member should a post require editing.



CHATBOX

The Chat box is only visible and useable by Legal Beagle Administrators, Team members and VIP Members.

Excessive swearing, bypassing of the swear filter, abuse of other members or the site, or other sites, racist, vulgar and inappropriate comments may result in the facility being removed from the user immediately. The Team will give a warning where applicable.

Comments made in the Chatbox will not be read immediately - and theres no guaranteed answer - if you need to contact a team member, admin or other site user please use the PM facility.

History of the chatbox is stored for 24 hours and can be viewed by any user.


CHATROOM

The ChatRoom is visible and useable by all registered users of this site.

Excessive swearing, bypassing of the swear filter, abuse of other members or the site, or other sites, racist, vulgar and inappropriate comments may result in the facility being removed from the user immediately. The Team will give a warning where applicable.

Comments made in the Chatroom can only be viewed by persons present in the chatroom - if you need to contact a team member, admin or other site user please use the PM facility.

History of the chatroom is stored for 24 hours and can be viewed by the Administrators of this forum.


PRIVATE MESSAGES

The Private Message system is useable by all registered users of this site.

Comments made in Private Messages can only be viewed by the sender and recipient/s of the message.

Abuse of other members or the site, or other sites, racist, vulgar and inappropriate comments, spamming, bullying and/or sexual harrassment should be reported to the Administrators who will conduct an investigation and this may result in the facility being removed from the user immediately.

Private Messages are stored on the database and can be viewed only by the Administrators of this forum. The Private Message database will not be accessed by the Administrators except during an investigation.



PROFILE COMMENTS


The Profile Messaging system is visible and useable by all registered users of this site.

MODERATION

Having seen how things work on other sites, we have spoken to a number of previously 'moderated' users about their experiences of this. We have all agreed that the main problem is the lack of communication. When we cannot see the face - or hear the voice - of the person we are dealing with, the written word sometimes comes across with a completely different meaning to that intended.

To this end we have introduced a private forum, ''The Kennels'' to which you can request access in order to discuss a particular issue or problem with the Administrators, which you can't resolve one on one. Alternatively, an Administrator may invite you to access this forum if we would like to discuss anything with you on this basis.

If we invite you to join this forum, others won't be aware, and anything discussed within it will remain confidential. Only Administrators have access to this forum.

It won't necessarily mean there's a problem, but if we notice anyone is unhappy or has any issues not being resolved on the forum, we believe it will help. The idea will be to prevent a concern from becoming a problem, or if it has become one, to try and resolve it.

If the issue continues, and is adversely affecting the rest of the forum, then we may have to moderate posts on the main forum, but access to the private forum will remain available.

If you have a greivance or issue with the Team, the Site, Admin, or another User and would like access to this area please contact the Administrators.
