  • Removal of gate

    Hi,

we live on a new housing estate and we bought a property that had a metal fence and gate at the front, securing our property. The council is now refusing to adopt the development from the developers unless they change a few things on the development. One of the issues is that the gates on our side of the street open outwards and not enough room is left for people passing. They have tried to adjust them before but they have been badly designed and they are unable to. Yesterday we had a letter through our letterbox saying someone would be attending to adjust it. Today I answered the door to someone telling me it was being removed and he was not leaving without it.

This has now left my property insecure for my children, it has spoilt the look and we paid for something that they have now taken away.

I know this is wrong but I don't know what to do about it.

    Can anyone please advise me

    Kind regards
    Jo
