  • Capital resolve letter

    Hi all,

Really in need of some advice.

I received a letter from capital resolve on behalf of RLP.

This is from a shoplifting incident that happened 5 years ago. While it was not myself that stole the item, I was with the person that did.

When this happened we were both taken to a room at the back of the store and banned from the shop and had to fill out a form. I entered my name and address ( I did not sign the form).

The letter they have sent states rlp have passed it onto them to resolve.

I have never ever had any letters from them and since this happened I have moved 4 times.

They said in the letter if I don't pay the £178 they will advise RLP to start litigation proceedings.

Please can anyone advise what I should do?
Ive seen posts saying just ignore the letters but I am so scared that this will be taken further and I'll be taken to court.

Thanks in advance for any help

    Hi there,

I've received similar advice. How did you find things since having that letter?
