  • Service partner not paying me my last 3 weeks of work

Hi, friends. I am writing you in regard with my last job. For 5 weeks I've been working on behalf of one of Yodel's service partners. My first payment was after the fourth week. I got payed for the first 2 weeksthen. After that I gave the manager my notice and did my job till the very last day of my notice. My managaer was assuring me that I am going to be payed the full amount of money I've earned, but now it' been a month and he is not paying me. At first he was telling me that he is going to pay me on the next couple of days, but now he's even stoped answering the phone, and the bastard is owing me over 1000 pounds so I don't know what to do. I have an invoice in my email for two of my last three weeks that weren't payed, and I can prove that I have earned some money none of which has entered my account since his payment for my first two weeks there. Can you please give me some advice, how I can deal with this situation. Thanks in advance

Stop phoning and get writing to them. Post the letters and get a free proof of posting from a post office. Just building up a paper trail for further action.

In the letter you should give full details of what you worked, what you have been paid with reference to when you received the payments and what you believe is outstanding. I would then set a time limit in which he needs to confirm back to you about making the outstanding payments.

As this person is a service partner to Yodel I would consider sending a copy of the letter to Yodel - I am sure they will not want to find out their service partners are not paying people for working for them. Make is clear in the letter to the service partner you are sending a copy to Yodel.
