I had a tenant who owed £350 and refused to pay so I put him to court in Jan 2017 the tenant still did not pay and responded claiming that I had not gave notice of legal action, which I had
i had forgot that I had a guarantor, this paperwork was found later so I put a second case to court in march, the guarantor ignored the case and got a ccj I have requested a warrant £77 As she refused to pay the judgment
they have dragged it out till the last day before court for the tenant and the guarantor has finally paid in full for the tenant today 26 June so his hearing now no longer needs to take place tomorrow
the guarantor claims to have spoken to a district judge that has told her that her ccj can be set aside at a cost of £255 and this can be claimed back from me because there was 2 claims for the same debt
is the correct?
So the question is can I have 2 court cases for the same debt one to the tenant and one to the guarantor or have I done this wrong and now am liable for the set aside cost
