Sometimes RLP pass their "claim" to a debt collector, who write one letter.
      Ignore it!
They don't do doorstep visits, and nor do they pass this info to third parties

Re: RLP civil recovery notice: Unsure what to do??

I received a letter today from capital resolve saying if I don't settle the amount they will stop communicating with me and suggest further action to Debenhams. It sounded like they've sent me previous communication before this letter but I haven't had anything, so I find that weird?

Should I continue to ignore or could they suggest to the retailer to take further action like court?

Oh yes, please keep ignoring them.
Do you really think these experts in civil recovery and debt collection are going back to Debenhams and say:
"we are so good at our job we failed to collect. Would you like to consider initiating a court action . Last time a retailer tried he lost and it cost him "

Could you possibly post up that letter (sanitised by removing your details) so it can be added to our scary letter thread ?

I've emailed you them on your kati@legalbeagles.info email.

I mentioned that the last letter I've received from Capital Resolve states it's the final letter I'll get from them. What am I to expect next? More letters from RLP? Court papers?

Possibly nothing, or a final (?) attempt from RLP,
Never quite sure when they give up, but court papers? No, court papers are nowadays as rare as rocking horse dung.

I do hope they give up soon, it's a waste of paper really! Thanks for the reassurance as usual.

Thinking on it, if they want to keep trying to threaten court, they will have to follow the new Debt PAP too Should be interesting.

What's the Debt PAP? Does that mean they'll be more likely to take people to court?
