  • First response vehicle finance

Just after some advice on my car finance agreement. I took out an agreement in 2010 or 2011 to purchase a car. I ended up losing my job and having money trouble throughout. I was told from someone who works for first response finance that because of the type of contract we had I could hand the vehicle back and not owe anything. I carried out trying to pay and they took it to court and I got something like a time to pay order. I then wrote a letter asking to hand the car back. The car was collected and I was billed for an amount left on the agreement for £2999. I had paid over half of the full amount. I have not heard anything since about s year and a half ago when they were trying to chase me for this. They have now employed a company called groove or credit management who have been ringing me wanting my address saying they have undelivered mail for me. They have found out where I work and when the call was transferred through to me they hung up!! Just wondering if it's worth getting a solicitor involved or do you think I haven't got a leg to stand on and should pay the money? Any advice welcome, I'm annoyed and feel mislead.
