  • VWFS and Excess Mileage on VT

    Hello

I will be VTing my car with VWFS in April/May. I will be just under the 50% payments so they have confirmed the amount I need to pay to end it early, which I am happy to pay.

In the last week or so a few other people have contacted VWFS to enquire about VT and they have been told they will have to pay any excess mileage. I was not told this and I even called them back when I heard this and they confirmed the figure I was quoted is all I will be paying. I have been following may threads on the internet and no one else has ever had to previously pay VWFS mileage costs when they do a VT.

I am now concerned that when I do VT my car I will get a much larger bill than expected (twice the amount). I have the date and time of both my phone calls so the recordings can be listened to to prove there was no mention of excess miles being bought into it.

Regarding VT, in my contract it says I will be entitled to return the goods and pay half the amount under this agreement
. If I have paid at least half and any overdue payments and have taken reasonable care of the goods I will not have to pay any more.

In another completely different section 11.4 it says:

If this Agreement terminates early, we will reduce the Maximum Total Mileage in the proportion which the actual period of hire bears to the period of the hire originally agreed. Any Excess Mileage Charge will be recalculated using that reduced Maximum Total Mileage

So where do I stand with this now please?
