  • Lowell % being offered

    Hi there,

I'm new so sorry if I'm not there with all the information.
My partner is currently being chased by Lowell for the following
    Orange-£490.17
    HSBC- £423.85 (offering 75% discount)
    HBOS- £1636.05
Now my question is do we accept the discounts and get them paid? If so does this effect any future credit rating? Baring in mind I have been with him 3 years and he's made no contact with regards to these I'm sure more than 6 years(SB?)
If they are offering such a big discount does that mean it's been over 6 years?
I want us to get on track with our life and just want to get rid of these but not sure which is the best way to go about it?

Any information or help would be lovely x

    Re: Lowell % being offered

    Hi, welcome to LB,

Has he checked his credit reference file, this will give some guidance as to the current status of the debts? He can check Noddle and/or Clear Score free online.

Personally I would send Lowell CCA request for the agreements for these accounts there are templates for the request in the green box at the top of the court claim forum.

You have to pay a £1.00 Fee for each request use a postal order for£3.00 mark it " for statutory fees only" use signed for post and check delivery date.

Use Lowell's Address without a PO Box number :

    Lowell Group
    Ellington House
    9 Savannah Way
    Leeds Valley Park
    Leeds
    LS 10 1AH.

I suspect you are correct Lowell is chancing their arm hoping you don't know about statute barred debts.

This is the start of clearing up his finances.
