    Can I be sacked if I am searched & money is not found in my possession.

    I empty vending machines,security went to the place before I went there & counted money & put it back in machine,I emptied machine & put money in counting machine & it's left at the place,there was a descripency of £3 missing,I was checked & no money found,security people did not check machine to see if it had got stuck in there & suspended me,I've got to go to a hearing next week,been with company 7 years with a clean record

        Based on next to no information - yes, you can be sacked. An employer does not require the level of evidence that a criminal court does . If they can form a reasonable belief that you stole something, that is all they need to justify their decision to dismiss. Assuming that you have two years employment with them. If you don't, they don't need any reason, because with a few exceptions , you cannot claim unfair dismissal.
