Has anyone had satisfactory result with getting their parking fine cancelled?
I too have been caught out by the lighting problem in this car park. I paid for 1 hour at dusk, found I needed longer and went back later to buy another ticket. The meter was by then in complete darkness and, not having a torch, I was unable to use the meter. (It is necessary to key in the car's registration number - not just put money in) I dithered for a while, which put me over time on the original ticket, and then moved the car to a space on the street.
Friends have provided me with photographic evidence that the meter is not lit, (and I wonder if there is a health and safety issue here also!) and I was willing to pay but unable to, through no fault of my own.
I sent an appeal which was denied and was told that no further correspondence would be accepted.
What should I do now? I have been getting harassing letters from DRP enforcement services since November and now they want £150. Willing to go to court if that is the only way to get a fair decision.
Happy to share the photos with others.

Read others' posts. What is Popla? How do I appeal to them?
