  • VT Help

    Hi,

I'm in the process of VT'ing my car.
The finance company have accepted my request to VT and have given me an option to drop the car at 1 of 2 locations or for them to collect for an £80 fee.
I've chosen to drop the car off as I don't want to pay the £80 fee but the delivery location is about 40 miles from my location.

The main point of my post though, I keep seeing comments about people being charged for damages to the vehicle.
I can note 2 x rust spots and 2 x chips to bare metal on the bodywork, the lacquer is also peeling on all of the alloys.
I'm expecting to be charged for the chips, but will I likely be charged for the alloys and the rust? The rust was a common issue on the car in question as the bumper rubs against the rear quarters causing the paint to peel and the rust to form, it's well documented online and was subject to improvement when a facelifted version was released.

Also, do they mechanically check the vehicles over? It's got an MOT and is road legal, but I'm just worried that they might find something I do not know about underneath the car.
There's nothing wrong to my knowledge but just want to be sure in my own mind.

    Any advice is welcome.

    Thanks
