  • Ensuring my son-in-law inherits nothing

Is there a way I can have my will rewritten to ensure my daughter receives all in the event of my death and her husband is not entitled to half because he is her husband?

    Thanks in anticipation.

Who presently is named as beneficiary(ies) in your will?
If your daughter is named, but not her husband, he will receive nothing.
If he is currently named as a beneficiary, you could remove his entitlement by codicil, or even write a new will which automatically overrides the former.

Or are you concerned that if your daughter inherits he will in some way take control?
In which case you might want to set up a trust for her.

You can also name your son in law as somebody who you do not want to be a beneficiary. but a trust would be the best method.
