        Re: mileage wrong

So you contact the seller and tell him you are rejecting the car and require a full refund of purchase price, and that he should make arrangements to collect the car at his own expense.
This is your statutory right as given by THe Consumer Rights Act 2015.
The car is not as described (section 11) in that you were told by his employee that the mileage was 100,000 when in fact it was 174,000
You therefore have the short term right to reject and receive a full refund, collection at trader's cost (section 20)

If you deliver the vehicle back to the trader, it will be at your cost.

Besides 'phoning him Monday a.m., also back your rejection in writing (just in case he gets awkward!)

If you purchased it using a credit card, or by hire purchase, you have other ways of recovering your money if necessary

            Re: mileage wrong

So when will you be taking the car back? If you take it back tomorrow and get problems then start putting everything in writing so that there is a paper trail.
