    Please help....confused

    I have just signed up to experian. And checking through I have a default from British gas.
    It says account started 2009
    Default date 2012
    Start date 2011
    ???
    Why 2 start dates and why such a long period between start and default.
    Shouldn't default be 6 months after account start date? If so then that's past 6 years.
    Is there any thing I can do to remove this off my file

      Could you give a bit more info as to the possible reason for the alleged debt?

        Do you agree that you owe them any money? If not, that is the thing to concentrate on, not whatever is showing on your credit record, that can be sorted afterwards.

        If you think you did get behind, what was the date on the bill that wasn't paid? Do you still owe this money or have you repaid it?
