  • Vodafone! Aarrgghhhhh!

I really hope somebody can offer me advice regarding my issue with Vodafone. I'm getting to the end of my rope with them! Apologies for the essay........

I have/had a mobile phone contract and a mobile broadband contract with Vodafone. I did not wish to renew my broadband contract when it ended on 28/04/16, so I called them 02/05/16 to give notice. After putting up a good fight and offering me all sorts of wonderful deals the customer service advisor admitted defeat and I was told my broadband would be disconnected in 30days and I would need to pay my final bill.

On 02/06/16 I realise that they have disconnected my mobile phone instead of my broadband. I called them (using a relatives mobile phone!) to advise them of their error. I was told that the error would be rectified and that my phone would be back up and running in 2 to 24 hrs. That was 6 days ago. I have tried to call a couple of times from various friends and relatives phones, but end up going round and round and round and round in circles thanks to vodafone's wonderful automated system. The live chat doesn't seem to be very live either, on the couple of occasions I've tried it's conveniently unavailable.

Could anybody advise where I stand from a legal stand point? Their terms and conditions seem a bit hazy with regard to them being in breach of contract with their customer. To be honest, given their performance over the past week I'd be quite happy to leave the mobile contract cancelled and find a new service provider!

Any advice would be very much appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Make a Formal Complaint to the CEO, VF's customer service people seem to know little and have even less authority to help.
