  • interim payment after probate granted

Looking for some help and advice on my position as a beneficiary in my late fathers will.
I posted on here earlier about the issues I was having with the executors, which I resolved by sending them a letter warning them I was applying to have to have them removed and replaced.
Probate as now been granted and I have a copy of the will, but according to the solicitor until the period of time allowing for anybody to come forward making a claim on the estate as passed , they cannot see their way clear to allow me an interim payment, something the executors blindly agree with, adverts in local papers have been posted asking for people to come forward.

The current date for for release of funds is 15th July this year.I need funds to sort out various things including finding a house to rent etc

Estates value is well below £325000 so there is no inheritance tax
    any advice much appreciated

    cheers

There is the Executor's 'year rule' from when a Grant of Probate has been accepted, to deal with estate debts etc, other claims. Unless the estate is complex it should take less than the 12 months but may be even longer in some circumstances. It is possible for the estate to be distributed in up to 6 months. Is there any reason for the delay that you're aware of? Are there any terms in the Will dealing with exceptions, ie interest payments etc?
