  • Parking eye PCN

    Hi ,

I received a PCN from PE today claiming I have either 'not paid or overstayed my parking time'.

The parking was £3 for the whole evening and I parked for 90 mins. I searched high and low for the ticket receipt and found it.... It appears I have the wrong car Reg on my ticket - a fault with their machine I'm assuming even though I had to input my Reg in to the machine. The Reg on the receipt is completely different so I've not made a mistake inputting it.

I know I need to make an appeal and not mention who was the driver. Please can anyone else help with the wording? Should I tell them I paid but received the wrong reciept? Should I ask them for the land owners contact details?

Any help you can give is much appreciated. Have never had one of these and not sure what to do!

    Re: Parking eye PCN

    Dear Sirs,

I, as registered keeper, wish to invoke your appeals procedure. The driver was a genuine customer (receipt attached). I note the registration number is totally inaccurate and am certain this is a fault in your machine as it's not a mere typo but a completely different number and the driver is not an idiot.

It is noted that your notice to keeper is fundamentally flawed when compared to PoFA 2102 schedule 4 para 9.

Should you reject my appeal please supply a popla code.

    Yours etc

Attach the receipt (keep the original, you should do it online/email anyway)

If/when you get a popla code please let me know.

    M1
