  • Earl Haig - smart parking fine - won **x2 **

My mother recently received a fine of £60-£100 at a Morrison car park from Smart Parking. As you can see, it is disrespectful of them to demand payment for an extreme high amount.

Please ignore my attachments of 'ASDA'. The ANPR camera clearly shows she was in the car for about 12 minutes so how is it possible to be fined at a rate of £60 for a £1 car park. As a result, I appealed on her behalf and it was subsequently rejected for 'remaining at the car park longer than permitted' and 'not purchasing the appropriate ticket, this just seems to me they are trying their luck to deduct fees for unjustifiable reasons. I have been advised to appeal through Popla by mid Feb.

I look forward to some responses. Thank you in advance.

Thanks for your guidelines. I have managed to upload it.

The location of the car fine. To be fair, at best, my Mum should have paid £1.
          http://en.parkopedia.co.uk/parking/pub-bar/earl-haig-1/ - Minimum: £1.10

Re: Earl Haig - smart parking fine

After careful observation, Earl Haig is a free car park after 8am-6:30pm. It charges £1.10 outside these times for a stay of one hour. (see pictures). The incident occurred at 4:18pm.

What would you advise me with?

The date of contravention is 23/12 so there is no danger the notice was also sent 23rd. When did you get it ?

                              @ M1
Ever since we won this appeal I haven't been to that location at all. Yet, today, I received the same letter with a different date/time.
