  • I've signed the Anti-Price Increase Petition...have you?

    Hi all,

After reading the Christmas cheer link, I immediately signed the petition.

It is titled :"Not increase the fee for a general application in civil proceedings to £255" => https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/104762

Why haven't more users and beneficiaries of this forum signed it?

There is a deadline of 24th January 2016 which is looming. The signatures should be well into the high thousands for the amount of support that the Legal Beagle members and Founder alone give us.

Consider putting it in your email signature to raise awareness to others.

    Come on everyone!
....Sign the petition and show that we are serious about defending all valid claims against unscrupulous claimants (if that proves to be the case!).

The link is here => https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/104762

    Regards,
    HS02.

Thank you so much Funnily enough I was looking at the petition earlier this evening, wondering how I could possibly try and get more people to see that it DOES MATTER. It's always difficult with these slightly obscure changes - where it doesn't seem to matter until one day you open the post and find a default County Court Judgment because a DCA or maybe an unhappy customer has filed court proceedings against you and you hadn't received the papers, and you're facing a destroyed credit rating for the next six years unless you can get £255 together to apply to set aside the judgment.

      Hi Amethyst,

      Its a pleasure! :tinysmile_twink_t2:
      Thanks for your response.

You are exactly spot on with your comment.
More people should sign or be made aware of it so that the numbers can massively increase.

Personally, this is my way of showing my full appreciation of the quality help received.

      Rgds,
      HS02.

I signed it too (and tweeted and shared on Fb again)
