I have kinda followed this case last year because a couple with Learning difficulties was denied legal aid because the father's part time job meant that he was about £90.00 over the legal threshold for legal aid. However, this case was the final appeal against a placement order for the child of parents with Learning difficulties.
Ultimately Lord Justice Mumby made the difficult decision to place the child for adoption but there were many aspects to the case that were of interest such as cultural differences and different parenting styles plus the issue of the guidance that social workers should abide by when dealing with children who are born to parents with learning difficulties.
