  • Financial order

hi all was hoping someone might be able to help me with divorce papers please.

me and my soon to be x wife have been separated for over 2 years and have agreed to a divorce. We have 2 children who live with their mother no property involved and neither of us have allot of money.

I received the papers yesterday and it all looked straight forward except when you get to the last page about Financial Order, i have attached a copy of it to the thread.

Im worried what this means also she is really pressuring me to sign it and send it back please could someone tell me what it means before i go ahead and sign it please?

    any questions please ask

    thanks

    Re: Financial order

It is standard practice to complete all sections on the end of the petition dealing with finances and does not necessarily mean that the petitioner is making a financial application for those financial reliefs or that they are entitled to do so. In any event, any application for a financial order will be preceded by the filing of a Form A and it is a requirement that the form A is served on the respondent in any case.

I would not overly concern yourself over the matter at this stage as from what you describe there appears to only be maintenance for the children to be an issue although I have no details of your financial situation. If you wish to ascertain your liability in respect of child maintenance there is a free calculator on the child maintenance service web site that can be completed anonymously.
