  • Nat west card and others

    Hi
Can anyone help. Im just going through all my card statement to claim back charges for the second time but thought i remember reading somewhere that there was a difference between claiming charges back from pre 2006 to more recent ones. Something to do with the banks already lowering their charges to £12 or am i talking rubbish.

    Thanks
    Tracy

The £12 was only a suggested amount that the charges be lowered to, although they will try and tell you that they are allowed to charge this amount.

The fact remains, that a penalty is a penalty, so reclaim them in the usual way.

So its still ok to have this "based on the Unfair Terms in Consumer Contracts Regulations 1999" in the letter

        Hi

this is the one I used with Natwest and Crap One. I found Natwest pretty easy to get the charges back from.

          Hi

Thanks for that. I did claim back loads last year by sending letter first but wasn't sure if any of the quotes had changed since then. So Thanks again
