  • Form A question please

    Hi

I was reading Form A and have the following question (btw not going use this process yet but trying to be prepare just incase I need to use it)

    [hmctsformfinder.justice.gov.uk]

On page 3 in the service section,

Can I check "I am not represented by a solicitor in these proceedings but am receiving advice from a solicitor" or

"I am not represented by a solicitor in these proceedings"

and later if I choose to instruct a solicitor to instruct a solicitor on my behalf to take over can I amend it and if there is any cost involved?

    Thank you

    Re: Form A question please

If you do instruct a solicitor they can notify the court simply be filing a notice of acting document at minimal costs, depending on their hourly charging rate or fixed fee, usually about £20-40.
