  • Barclaycard Secure Message Service - Possible Breach of Confidentiality?

Yesterday I received a so-called 'secure' message from Barclaycard which actually relates to one of my wife's cards with them - they even copied a letter sent to her giving a comprehensive response to a previous enquiry.
in reality this is not an issue for me as we share financial responsibilities and information, but it does appear to be a breach of confidentiality.
    Anyone have any thoughts?

It was sent to my secure message inbox for one of my Barclaycard accounts (there is no sign of this response in my wife's inbox or in writing).

On Tuesday of this week I received a call from the Barclaycard Executive Office - very simply, they agree that there has been a breach, have apologised (for the breach and the delay in responding), and have offered a goodwill payment, which I have accepted.
The next bit is the flip side of it - i.e. how the now deal with my wife!

Without argument, Barclaycard credited one of my wife's accounts with £250!
