I have been paying £142.00 a month for 2014\2015 council tax too bristow and sutor, just because the payment date was set for the 8th off each month and payment was late but now paid they sent an enforcement officer out adding another £235.00 in charges, advising that they will gain entry too property to list items too sell,bearing in mind I also have this years to pay and have already been told if next payment is late, they will take further action, the council don't give you chance too get paid!! But can bristle and suitor do this?

If a payment arrangement is set up then if you cannot make payment on the specified date then it is important to contact the company in advance as otherwise, the account will register as being in default. A payment reminder will not be sent and sadly a visit will be made for the purpose of 'taking control of goods'. Thankfully, the bailiff company cannot charge another £235 fee is they visit again.

You have said that B & S have stated that they will 'gain entry into the property to list items to sell'. In fact, the bailiff can only gain entry by either an open door or more likely, by being invited into the house (not to be recommended).
