Default removal = you be lucky - they have to show the True state of account! in default? that is it! it seems.

Re: Bryan Carter Solicitors- letter of claim

Making any payment in full or partial does not affect the original account was defaulted
such information must remain in file for 6 years from the default date.

As mentioned on other posts, the default wouldn't be removed, at best it would be marked as 'satisfied' if not 'partially satisfied'. Even if paid in full it still wouldn't be removed, it is a common misconception that paying off defaulted accounts removes the default before the customary six years, sadly it doesn't.

Even more significant is the fact that any repayment offer would constitute acknowledgment of the debt for limitation purposes and would reset the clock. :scared:

If you haven't made any payments since you defaulted and you've only got 18 months left, IMHO it would be unwise to restart the clock. :nono: Your offer could be rejected and the damage would have been done.
