  • MKRR/Barclay Card

    Evening All,

I have been doing some reading on here as I have some issues with a debt. I know I have this debt but trying to pay Barclay card a lower fixed amount wasn't getting me anywhere. I kept getting hassled and charged.

Eventually they sold to MKRR or one of their other companies.

The first I knew about this was when I got letter ref L002 basically saying I have this debt and how will I clear it. Since then I have probably made 15 calls over a period of 10 weeks. Basically saying that I don't know who they are, I dispute the amount as barclay card took around 10-12 months to default me. I asked for a full set of statements as well so I could see where they got this amount from. Eventually I got 3 statements one for the last transaction made, one for the last payment made and one before the default. If I want a full set I supposedly have to make a SAR.

Now I have had a final demand from them today stating that I have ignored all correspondence from them and they will be taking this matter further unless I make contact or arrange payment. I always thought they had to give you a full statement as your new creditor?

First things are even though I am disputing the debt they are still sending me letters without complying with what I have asked for. So what would be the first letter to send them?
