  • Dealing with collectica/bailiffs and admin fees

Hello Everyone! I'm looking for some guidance. I received a court fine that landed into the hands of collectica enforcement agency. The court fine was £150.00. Collectica bought the debt and stuck £75 on it. They demanded I pay £20 every two weeks, so I did. I paid £175 pounds to them and defaulted payment through forgetfulness as I suffer mental health problems and live alone. A week later I observe a letter placed on the communal stairway Addressed to me, from them. The letter said the usual scare tactic stuff, red letters an all the rest demanding £290. I have sent them a letter explaining that 'Im not paying their non-sanctioned unlawful fees' I've outlined the fact that they are a company and the origional court fine of £150 has been paid to them, plus £25 extra in bailiff and admin fees. I have also told them they're not getting another penny. I have cut all contact with them, but still get the odd letter stating 'they'll break in and seize goods. I will not be letting them In period. I am wondering where I legally stand on this issue and do they actually have any rights at all? What are my rights within the law, and how can I get rid of these vultures? Many thanks 123 woodster.
