Re: Disciplinary hearing for gross misconduct

Benefits are actually higher in all the Nordic countries than here so I don't really agree with that point.

It could be lack of motivation. Why that is, I'm not sure.

I think one of the biggest problems the UK is facing is increasing inequality. Chosen few (ok, many of them have worked pretty hard for it) are better off than ever before while many are struggling to make ends meet.

I am certainly not a socialist but history has shown that the consequences of this kind of social development aren't going to be pretty!

      Agreed again.
The whole point of the EU was to keep harmony across Europe, but it isn't working.
I worry about the Muslim terrorist acts we're seeing. It's as if they live in their own areas completely apart from the rest of us.
That promotes distrust, lack of tolerance and, ultimately, violence.

Unfortunately as you do not meet the minimum 2 years continuity of service requirement to be protected from unfair dismissal, they will be able to dismiss you if they want and not face any legal liability on that score.

It totally sucks, unfortunately the current government doubled the CoS requirement from one year to two years in 2013

I had written confirmation of my resignation today. It states that it has been accepted without prejudice I.e. without abandonment of a claim, privilege, or right, and without implying an admission of liability. In layman's terms what does this mean please.

            It means a clean break.
They have accepted your resignation without losing their rights to sue you for defamation or your rights to try for constructive dismissal.
You're free to go elsewhere and that should be the end of it.
I wish you well in your job-hunting.
