Re: *** WON WON WON *** AlexY v BPS - HEARING 7th May

Just spoken to Alex, so bit of a quick write up and he'll eludicate further tomorrow or in the next couple of days.

              So

              He got £113 costs.

Richard paid him straight away by cheque, which Alex took straight to the bank

The Judge ruled that the website was misleading. That the ASA thought so, that hundreds of other consumers obviously thought so.

That the list of default judgments on his website evidenced further his website was misleading.

That 'online form filling' could not be a chargeable service.

That ''form checking'' could not be a chargeable service

The there was no clear place where you enter into a contract ( explains many people who half filled in the form then clicked off and got court claims) so that invalidated the contract anyway.

That a consumer can cancel by whatever means they like, basically, and just because Alex hadn't used their daft pin number rubbish didn't invalidate him cancelling.

In conversation outside Richard admitted that Amanda Kirkman and Sam Harris do not exist. ( We knew about Sam Harris but we had thought Amanda was genuine )

Quite a lot of dicussion over those two HM passport Office letters.... the judge convinced they were fake, so we really need to push the HMPO to confirm/deny those, as they kind of drag everything else he says into murky water.

Umm will think if there's anything else major.

Re: *** WON WON WON *** AlexY v BPS - HEARING 7th May

I just want to say a massive THANK YOU to everyone on this forum and the LB team in particular.

I had a weaker case than most of you and I was never shy to be open and public. Richard admitted that I'd made myself a target for him.

I'll write a full account on my blog in the next few days, but now I'm going to play football and have a celebratory drink.

I hope this win will be a significant milestone for everyone. Today wasn't just about me, if it was I would have paid up to save the hassle months ago. Today was about everyone of us who has been tricked or deceived by BPS.

                Let the floodgates open.

                Go get em guys.

"Although scalar fields are Lorentz scalars, they may transform nontrivially under other symmetries, such as flavour or isospin. For example, the pion is invariant under the restricted Lorentz group, but is an isospin triplet (meaning it transforms like a three component vector under the SU(2) isospin symmetry). Furthermore, it picks up a negative phase under parity inversion, so it transforms nontrivially under the full Lorentz group; such particles are called pseudoscalar rather than scalar. Most mesons are pseudoscalar particles." (finally explained to a captivated Celestine by Professor Brian Cox on Wednesday 27th June 2012 )
