  • Trouble with quotes :(

I'm normally not a fan of Internet Explorer, yet I'm using it to post at the moment because I'm having trouble with quotes in Firefox.

It all started with not being able to multi-quote, I'd select the posts but only the first one would be quoted.

A couple of hours ago I tried to reply to a post and clicked on 'reply with quote', I got the usual circle going round and round and it stayed there for ages. I then restarted Firefox, tried to quote, same again!

No idea what may have caused the trouble, I only restarted FF AFTER the problem started. :noidea:

Have you tried clearing the 'cookies' and 'cache' .... press F5 or Ctrl F5

Well I never, I have never used Multi-quote before, quite snazzy that it puts a little tick there isn't it.

Works okay for me in FF and IE.

Mine also comes up as 35.0.1. When I restarted it just restored the previous session, which has been running for a long time, maybe that's what's causing the problem.

Could possibly be cache or less likely cookies.

Could also be a Firefox addon or piece of security software interfering somehow.

Could be some other part or setting in your Firefox profile somehow causing it.

As you say, just starting your browser session afresh could maybe sort it.

Having cleared cookies and started a new session, I can now quote, but not multi-quote. I also tagged Nibbler's post, yet only this one got quoted.

Multi-quote does work in IE but not FF

                      Re: Trouble with quotes

I was going to reply to the site issues thread here: http://www.legalbeagles.info/forums/...379#post546379 but I notice it's been closed.

The reason I was going to reply to that one is because, whatever you guys did, you seem to have fixed the issues I was having!

I've not changed anything on my computer since posting this thread, not disabled any add-ons or anything, yet I can now quote and multi-quote in Firefox without any problems...

...and there's no reason to use IE anymore.

As for the smileys, they come from here: http://smileys.newbeginningsnetwork.com/piwigo/
