It sounds to me like the issue with your colleagues might well be a result of low overall morale amongst employees at your place of work, its sounds like they don't have any energy to support or help you. Though if they are being nasty to you, spiteful or more or less bullying in nature towards you, then that's a different kettle of fish.

Though your health is most important thing here, and as you are certain you have no financial risk by resigning and using up your remaining holidays as your notice period or part off. Then that's probably the best course of action. Hopefully it doesn't take you too long to find alternative employment though.

I'll have a word with my line manager because I think, overall, unless anything else can be arranged in the meantime, job wise, in regards to an internal/external transfer, then I think resignation would be the best course of action - in the past ten years or so, things have gone dramatically downhill.

I agree, my health is most important and I am financially sound with limited outgoings, right now, so a change for me could be the best thing all round and I didn't really feel I was welcomed back with open arms, in truth, either. Each day is just a nightmare, waiting to happen.

Hi,

Today I went into work and again, it was more or less the same thing. I mean, I've been off on long term sick and stress for a year and was being picked up on trivial issues, such as turning on/off the photocopier, shutting doors etc.

However, one thing which really got on my nerves was that I was accused of not doing the post and I said I did, but my senior colleague says I didn't, since there was no evidence in the mail folder (a sales receipt) to show I had processed it. She didn't even have her full facts in hand before she claimed this.

In honesty, I've had enough and I refuse to go into work each day and feel intimidated and made to feel small by senior colleagues who are not very supportive and overly friendly, either.

Furthermore, the return to work wasn't impressive, because, to give another example, I was told during a refresher training that "nothing had changed" - ok so what does that tell me? Am I supposed to remember everything? I told this to my nurse and she said its absolutely pathetic, so at least I know it isn't me, so that's something, because this entire situation is taking a serious toll on my mental health.

So I have decided that I am going to now tender my resignation. Not just because of the idiotic office politics, but the job is going nowhere fast and add to that, I've been told I would receive my month's wages, so that's something and I am financially set up for the future, so everything's going to work out for me, for the time being. A change, I think, after the last year of sick and stress and the investigation at work, can only serve to do me the power of good.
