  • Civil Enforcement Parking/ County Court Claim

    Hello Everyone,

I am a complete newbie here and I am hoping for some advice.
To summarise I parked in my local Coop as I have many very times before and it would seem the car park had become administered by Civil Enforcement Ltd. I overstayed my time by 11 minutes ( It was exceedingly busy that day and I probably waited that long to park in the first place) I received the notice of fine starting at £90.00 or £45.00 if paid promptly. I followed advice on various forums and ignored all communication . I considered that £8.00 per minute penalty was a little excessive !
The consequence of my ignoring all communication has now led to me receiving a summons from Northampton County Court claiming a total of £215.00.
Can anyone advise me on how to proceed and a possible defence. I am recovering from recent major surgery and I am finding this most stressful.
    Thank you very much.

Can you post up the particulars of claim, letters and photo's of signs that you have or can get please ? (hide name address reg number but not dates )

I have not heard of them turning up at court since http://nebula.wsimg.com/d8670de1426e...&alloworigin=1

They might go all the way to making you turn up but not turn up themselves.
