  • Parking Eye PCN *WON/CANCELLED*

    Hi all,
Need some sound advise re-a PCN from Parking Eye. On the 24th Sept my husband had to take me to South Tyneside Hospital for an early morning blood test, but because I have a long term illness which regularly makes me feel drained and unable to walk far, and also I am needing a new hip due to arthritis, I just could not handle walking too far on that morning. Because of this my husband had to park within the hospital grounds, where on other times he would park outside. This being explained, the nearest place to the hospital entrance is a "Free for 20minutes" space which was empty and we used, however because the blood department was running late my husband overstayed by 12mins, as he did not want to go further away because of my medical situation. Anyway I received a PCN form Parking Eye for £40, however I appealed to them but as yet they are not interested, could someone tell me what I should do. Thanks in anticipation. Linda A

        What was your appeal?

If they reject it and supply a popla code, you should appeal to popla

Have a look around at some of the threads on the forum to get some ideas xx

That's a shame. They didn't actually need the driver's name. They can ask for it but you are not obliged to give it. Not giving it would have given you two pops at POPLA if needed.

Your husband will now be getting the notices so he needs to appeal and when it is rejected then he should have a POPLA code. If not then ask for one then come back here for additional advice before you do anything else.

Do you have a blue badge and was it displayed?

Thanks for your reply Kati, however I am contemplating using a company that will guarantee getting it cancelled or they will pay the ticket in full, their charge is £16. Views please.

personally, I'd say NO!!!! - why pay money to do something when you don't have to?
M1 on here is very good at advising on parking tickets and popla appeals - he'll be online later, and will probably come and advise you too :tinysmile_twink_t2:

                  Re: Parking Eye PCN

When your husband gets his ticket he needs to appeal and if required go via popla. It's pretty easy. http://www.legalbeagles.info/forums/...pany-victories (yes it's not been updated but there are loads of new ones)

For £16 you'll get the same result as all of those who won on here, who paid zero. Your call.

Have they rejected your appeal and not given a popla code ?

Yes they rejected my appeal, so I requested a POPLA ref number, but as yet NOTHING.

I thought they'd stopped pulling that stunt.

No, it was there, anyway I'll just let it go along, and if they want to go to court, then bring it on.
