I once said to my sister that I don't miss having a television as I get to see 'soap operas' on Facebook every day ... I left quite a few groups because of arguments and petty squabbles over the years

Using real names, this could be an issue where one could pretend to be someone else and make remarks about a third party. I don't envy the 'internet police' their job.

I can also foresee a prolliferation of 'hidden areas' within forums so only a trusted few are allowed to see what is happening and can say what they like about anyone, no matter how defamatory or malicious. They may already exist on some sites.
A family member of mine made the mistake of leaving her profile logged on when she wasn't around and her PMs were trawled through by her partner ... It took five months to sort out the trouble THAT caused
