  • Collectia requesting for £423 pound for HMCTS FINE

Please can you help me on this situation i found myself. I failed to make the last payment on my payment plan with HMCTS and this has resulted in them passing it over to Collectia. Is it possible i can call HMCTS to pay the outstanding £140 and any charges on rather than paying the £423 which i dont have. Is this fee from legally binded and can they challenged to court.
Please i need urgent response because i just saw the letter today and they intend to start visiting my house.

£423 from a debt of £140?? How's that happened?? You could ask for a breakdown

If you contacted collectica, you might find they'll agree to a payment plan (write to them with an income/expenditure sheet - recorded/signed for, costs under £2 - get proof of postage!!)
