    Hi I had a court fine in which I was paying 5 pound every week as it came to last couple of payments i payed 10pound a fortnight I made all these payments over the phone and have all receipt numbers in June this year bailiffs appeared at my door saying I owe 55pound in which I replied that I did not it was 20 and have the proof to that he said he would check I said go on then I heard no more and finished paying then last week 11sept I had a phone call from the baliff dunno were they got my number and that they wanted 310 pound for attending my home I said don't think so and the fine was only 200 and it was all paid after a brief discussion he said he wood give me a week to find the money which I cannot he said I was lucky that he was phoning me otherwise it would be another 250 on top they then rang me again this morning at 8 I never answered and they left voicemail saying I had to ring them urgently I'm at my wits end and don't no were to turn can someone plz help many thanks

    You need to ring the originating Court and find why & when this happened. I also assume you had no Final Steps Notice from the Court or have you moved since the fine was imposed?

      Hi no had no notice and baliff said I had to pay them the 55 in which I dint owe and if that was the case then why would the courts take the remainder of the money thanks for replying quickly

        What is happening on a regular basis is that if you default in paying by even just 1 day cases are being handed to Bailiffs to enforce. You must contact the Court to find out. Don't delay as costs can increase at a rapid rate of knots.
