  • ariel management or A M Support

This company is based in Little Hampton and supplies warranties for sky boxes and other things, does anybody know of them? Brief run-down, my parents were persuaded to take a warranty out with them which they gave their card details for payment. This company does not do DD or SO. Last year my parents cancelled and asked for refund which they received and requested Barclays to stop payment. This year A M have taken two payments totalling £150 which my parents are now disputing with Barclays. I am struggling to find any details of this company so if anybody has experience of them I would be grateful.

Do a Google search for: aerial management littlehampton

Lots of comments about them, most of the type AVOID

Looks like you're going to have to demand that the bank refund the unauthorized payments.

Looks like they may have moved from Littlehampton to Brighton. Still looks like a private house.

Nope, that's the accountants in Brighton

I found a dry-cleaners, my brother found an electrical shop but there just seems to be so little to be found. I need to complain about these but am trying to find what they require to carry out the business they do and then the best people to complain to. I can understand that they could take payments over the phone but holding a persons card details for further payments is a different game altogether.

If your parents cancelled and asked the bank to stop future payments to these people,, then the bank is at fault as much as the company. They should get a refund from Barclays and also an apology!

I haven't heard of the company, but couldn't you complain to the FCA http://www.fca.org.uk

        or here: https://www.gov.uk/complain-about-a-limited-company

Have a look at going direct to Visa dispute resolution (assuming it is Visa) they should investigate based on your concerns & if they have no joy with the service provider they should take the monies back for you in most cases...............it takes time but they are very strict with this kind of thing.

Google Maps shows it as a carpet shop at the moment, with office accommodation above. Their requirements for this business are Zilch, apart from the gift of the gab

            Web site is: http://www.aerial-management-support.co.uk

There is mention of someone having cancelled because of problems and even cancelling debit card then they come back and ask for number of new card.

Re: ariel management or A M Support

If they are holding certain info like debit card details then would they need a data controllers licence? If they are accepting payments on credit for an insurance backed or as an insurance backed service facility should they have credit licences and show details of the schemes backing. How do you know that your £150 charge will cover a £400 repair and that they have the funds to cover this scenario if it happens with a lot of customers surely there has to be somebody overseeing this. I was thinking of FCA, trading standards and my parents are already talking to the bank who I think are refunding but I need to make sure this doesn't happen again. Ostell, post 6 is one of the things that has happened to my parents.
