Hi all,
This is my first post on the site so please be gentle.
Apologies if something similar to this is posted elsewhere in the forums.
Several weeks ago I emailed Capquest with a request for all paperwork relating to a default I came across on Experian that was registered in my name. It was on a debt that I have no knowledge of.
I got no reply to my mails so I wrote a letter, then a week later I rang them. I was told the account would be placed on hold for a week until the paperwork was recovered and sent out.
Another week passed and I received a letter in response to the letter I sent, which said the account would be placed on hold for a month (different date to the one given over the phone). Again nothing turned up so I emailed the Chief Executive. She replied and said it would be looked into, I asked her when I could expect the paperwork and she said she didn't know. I told her that I had been chasing this info for 2 months. She then said that they had only just contacted the loan company for the info because they had received no response to my previous request!
i don't think that Capquest requested the paperwork from the loan company in the first place and are only doing so now because of my persistence.
i have 2 questions that I hope someone can answer....
1. Why do Capquest seem so lethargic or reluctant in providing me with the information that I am requesting?
2. How long does it usually take for the paperwork (signed credit agreement, default notification letter, etc) to be obtained and sent out?
Even Capquests Chief Executive ignored my last couple of mails so if anyone on here can shed some light it would be appreciated.
Thanks Colin.
