  • Issues with Motormile Finance (MMF) chasing debt they refuse to prove

I hope someone can advise me on this...

A month ago I paid off all my debts and did this looking at letters received against my Noddle credit report.

I had a couple of letters from MMF stating that I owed money from a payday loan from 2012, but there was no record of any such debt on my credit file (mid-July 14).

I therefore called MMF and disputed the debt. I insisted that they prove the debt by sending to me a signed credit agreement and full statements of account. MMF were very obstructive, inisiting that it was for me to prove I didnt owe the debt (!) but eventually 'sort of' agreeing to send a signed credit agreement. They said they doubted they would be able to get a full statement of account though.

I have not received anything from MMF at all since this phone call.

I logged on to my Noddle account mid-August to check that all my debts ad started to be removed and noticed that 'Motormile' had added a default to my account!

The default stated it was originally dated for 2012 but they had added defaults for May, June and July for this year only!

I am appalled by this and immediately disputed the entry through Noddle - which i am waiting for a response on.

Does anyone know what I can do about this?

I am appalled at MMF's actions and the unlawful way in which they operate!

Forgot to say, whilst I haven't received any letters from MMF since my call to them, they persist in calling my mobile daily and leaving automated voicemails, plus they send texts daily offering 'a substantial discount'. Unfortunately these texts seem impossible to block, even on an Android phone, as when i try it says that the number is invalid!
