    Can they still climb through open windows? or has this been stopped? i cant find a definitive anwser are they now only allowed to come through the door? and that's it?

    Is it safe if windows are open now?

      Bailiffs cannot climb through windows, only enter through a door!

        Actually, a bailiff can enter by the normal entry route into the property only, or through an unlocked door.
        So If your normal route into the property is through the window, then I suppose the bailiff would be able to enter through it as well.msl:

              Yes, just to reinforce what has already been said, in 'normal' circimstances the regulations are now quite clear that entry is only allowed through an unlocked door now, so technically leaving windows open should be fine. However, we all know bailiffs/EA's, so ..............

                20. The enforcement agent may enter relevant or specified premises under paragraph 14 or 15 of Schedule 12 respectively, or re-enter premises under paragraph 16 of Schedule 12, only by—

                (a)any door, or any usual means by which entry is gained to the premises (for example, a loading bay to premises where a trade or business is carried on); or

                (b)any usual means of entry, where the premises are a vehicle, vessel, aircraft, hovercraft, a tent or other moveable structure
