Hi my son needs some help

In December 2013 he applied for a loan from a company called

Merrywood loans they turn out to be a broker and took £69 off him

And in March took £15 again they say it members fee this time.
He phoned them up to cancel the contract and told them to put his £15 back in the bank
They said they would but did nothing.
He let it go as a bad experience,

Now the cruncher august two company’s one named Orchard loans and one says Purple Turtle Loans (as on bank statement)
Have both taken £69 out of his bank account £138 he has phoned the bank to say he did not authorise them to take it.

The bank says they can do nothing about it as he had sighed a contracted with merrywood and
And the two companies are part of the same company.

    any help please

    Re: Merrywood loans

Did your son get three separate loans from the three companies mentioned?
Your son should cancel any debits or standing orders with any of these companies, until it is sorted out.
On getting a loan (if he did), have you a copy of the agreement that you could scan and post on here.
Obviously blanking out your personal details.
To cancel a contract you really must put it in writing, keeping a copy.
Phone calls, unless taped are impossible to prove.
Send any correspondence by recorded and signed for post (costs under £2.00)
Try to post that contract if you can.

This does seem like a bit of a fiddle.
Apply to one company who then tell you that they don't do loans, but will pass your details to other companies, who then charge fees.
First thing to do is cancel any and all direct debits or standing orders.
You stated.... He phoned them up to cancel the contract
I really do need to see the contract that your son signed.
As you haven't mentioned any fees payable from Merrywood loans, or any terms and conditions.
It is hard to advise you, or to seek help from my colleagues on LB, unless you can provide more details.

            Re: Merrywood loans

This sounds very similar to things like loan options and other brokers that are on here. Theres one lady who had numerous amounts taken by different lenders as application fees after signing up to a brokers site. Will have a look into it.

Well vanman, if anyone can help you, Amethyst can.
Get your son to instruct the bank not to pay any money to these companies.
              Do it in writing

Purple Turtle now seem to be Blue Bean.

I hate to say bit they seem to be another ''membership'' loan broking ''service''

Do you think when he was looking for loans he might have filed in his details on some other loan Broker sites?

                    I'll check Orchard now.

                          They also state...
To withdraw any authority the Client must notify Merrywood Loan Explorer in writing.
