  • Filling out IHT forms

What is the legal position if an asset is not listed on the IHT form either knowingly or unknowingly? I presume it is a matter for HMRC - does anyone know how they would view this?

You can lodge a corrective account, form is here http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/cto/forms/c4_2.pdf

If someone knowingly did so, then they are potentially evading tax, which is a crime.
