  • Loan Options - Charged Despite Clear Request to Cancel

In a moment of idiocy I filled in a payday loan form, never used this website but got texts from them so was alarmed at prospect of paying a charge for something I didnt want so sent this on 6 Jun

Phone Number 07967170601 I suspect I have been enrolled to your service via a third party. I am alarmed that there seems to be a charge for a service I do not want. I have searched my email for a welcome email and none has been received. I wish to cancel any membership you may think I have. If I have been charged I require a refund. If I have not been charged, I do not expect to be. Please also stop sending texts to my telephone. I prefer contact via email regarding this message

    Their reply
"Thank you for contacting us, your comment is shown below for your reference. One of our support staff will get back to you as soon as we can. We aim to respond to all enquiries within 24 hours."

    Nothing, no phone no email.

Phoning them is an endless unanswered queue

    4th July (I think) I get charged 67.76 I think

Today 16th July I managed to speak to one of them on the phone,

I ask for an immediate refund. They say they will send me a text to start the process. Not received.

They do however try to sell me loan products. I refuse.

I have no password for this site or login name.

    Please help

    Finally talked to them

Put this in their refund form

On 6th Jun I sent this message.

    No response.

in july I was charged a membership fee.

I had no access to this account and was sent no membership information or signup confirmation

I require a full refund, no daily membership deductions. I have neither used nor requested your services directly. It has in fact put me in further difficulty

Who was the payday loan company?

Did you get a loan from them?

How did Loan Options charge you £67.76?

This is the Loan Options sign up for membership page, craftily worded to make you think you are arranging a loan, no warnings on this page about the £67.76

So you don't know if it was Loan Options or not that you applied to for a loan?

You should call your debit card provider and ask them to do a chargeback on £67.76.
