I moved out of a flat in July 2012 and now 2 years later I'm receiving an overdue debt notice of £400 from a water company. I don't recognise this amount and haven't kept any records of my tenancy that long ago that would have noted down the reading at the time. I've asked them for a detailed breakdown of what this £400 comprises but is the onus on me to prove readings or them?
