  • CARS Three Debt Help

    Hi all

I received a letter from C.A.R.S. who were chasing a debt from 3, I have sent them the 'prove it' letter, and they have responded (I don't have a scanner to copy it up here, but I will summarise).

Their reply basically says I have to contact 3 to obtain the documents I asked for but in the meantime, I need to continue paying CARS! How does that work? So basically they want me to do their job for them, yet still pay them? I very much think not.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, and is there any template letters I can send them in regards to this?

    Thanks in advance.

    Re: CARS Three Debt Help

Mobile phone contracts are not covered by the CCA as you may know, so there is no duty as such to supply an agreement. However, I would not pay CARS one penny until they can prove (a) they are legally entitled to collect the debt and (b) there is a debt for them to collect legally.

You could consider a SAR to 3 to see what information they hold about you.
