Boundary issue's with neighbour

I am having an extension being built and so far have had no issues with my neighbour.
We have knocked down the existing garage which was built up to the boundary of the proprty and replaced it with a double story extension.
He had a concern that the gutter was 'invading' his airspace and wants us to rebuild to have a box gutter. This is only a short section at the back of the house - less than 2m.
I have checked our mortgage title deeds and found details in there that shows where our property boundary lies, exactly 1m from his wall.
Now I have measured the distance and found two things:
1 - he is correct the and the gutter does overhang by a fraction......less than 2cm
2 - at the front of the house his side wall of his driveway is actually extending this 1m and comes onto my property......starting at 1cm then growing to a larger amount as the drive moves on. I've not been able to see how much yet.

Since we both are invading each others space, am I within my rights to say that I will leave my gutter as it is and will not worry about his wall?

Old garage was right on boundary.
Did any part of that cross the boundary? Where did the water go from the roof?

This is unclear - is the new extension built on the boundary? What is the significance of his wall (it doesn't appear to be built on the boundary)?

No, although you might draw this to his attention and come to an informal arrangement in which you agree to look at it as a tit-for-tat situation.

Do you have legal expenses cover on your buildings/contents insurance?

You will be able to ask for their advice as they should cover boundary issues which should be classed as "nuisance".

Ask for their advice before or if your neighbour starts to cause problems.
