  • bank of scotldand credit card

    hi there

i am in need of some help with credit card , i have had it for around 17 years , never missed a payment , but in the past few years i have only made minimum payment , i recently changed bank account , but made manual payments at this time they said that my payments were late and were defaulting me , this has got me angry , so i want to see if there are any flaws in my agreement , but i am unsure how to do this thanks

First off they need to send you a default notice and provided you pay what is needed in time you should be back to normal.

What you need to send is a CCA request under s78 cca1974. You will need to send a fee of £1 either cheque or postal order. Leave it blank and if a cheque ask your partner or a friend to write it for you.
Do not sign the cca request but use a digital font.

They should send you back a copy of the agreement that you would have signed, a copy of terms at the start and a current copy and finally a statement of account I.e the outstanding balance.

Link to cca request at the top of my reply
