You should appeal. It's about the only time i'd expect parking eye to uphold an appeal.

    Dear sirs,

I, as registered keeper, wish to invoke your appeals process. I enclose/attach a copy of the ticket for which the driver paid for parking. I am under no statutory obligation to name the driver and shall not do so.

The charge is penal in nature and not a genuine pre estimate of loss. Should you reject my appeal please provide a popla code.

    Yours etc

If they don't come to their senses and accept your appeal they will give a popla appeal. An appeal to popla such as this will be enough to get rid of them.

had problems with several private parking companies ,in all honesty i treat them with complete and utter distain as they are just moneygrabbing sharks

As far as i know there is no rule against it. However as pretty much all parking enquiries have been dealt with or are being dealt with here when they crop up i see no need. If you know the advice from Pepipoo is great why don't you just take the knowledge you have gathered and help ? I am not anti Pepipoo by the way and have been a member for years with a post count in the 4 figure region.
